  • Soil Moisture Sensor Module

    The Soil Moisture Sensor is a simple breakout for measuring the moisture in soil and similar materials. The soil moisture sensor is pretty straight forward to use. The two large exposed pads function as probes for the sensor, together acting as a variable resistor. The more water that is in the soil means the better the conductivity between the pads will be and will result in a lower resistance, and a higher SIG out.
  • The Keyes-039 or KY039 Heart rate monitor consists of two things, an Infrared LED, and an Infrared Phototransistor.  The IR LED should come on whenever the sensor has power and stay on (because it is infrared, you won’t be able to see that it is on, but if you look through your cell phone camera you will).  The IR photo transistor causes the voltage to change on a “sensor” wire, and this should be connected to one of the Arduino’s analog pins.

  • This bi-directional logic level converter is a small device that safely steps down 5V signals to 3.3V AND steps up 3.3V to 5V at the same time.
