18mm 2 Pin Reed Switch Magnetic Sensor Normally Open Glass Type Mini Reed Switch (18mm Reed Switch)
The 18mm reed switch is a compact magnetic sensor designed to detect the presence of a magnetic field and provide a simple switching output. It uses sealed ferromagnetic contacts inside a glass tube and operates as a passive device without external power.

- Counting and speed sensing systems
- Industrial automation and IoT devices
Pinout Configuration -
- Pin 1 - reed contact terminal
- Pin 2 - reed contact terminal
Working Principle -
The reed switch consists of two ferromagnetic contacts sealed inside a glass envelope. When a magnetic field is applied the contacts attract and close the circuit and when the magnetic field is removed they return to open state. This enables reliable non contact switching for sensing applications.
