74LS122 DIP Retriggerable Monostable Multivibrator With Clear
The 74LS122 is a high speed TTL integrated circuit designed to provide a single output pulse of a specific duration when triggered. This retriggerable monostable multivibrator features an internal timing resistor that allows the device to be used with only an external capacitor for many applications. The output pulse width is determined by the selection of external resistance and capacitance values connected to the timing pins.
The retriggerable nature of this IC means that if a new trigger occurs while the output pulse is active, the timing cycle will restart, effectively extending the pulse duration. It includes DC coupled trigger inputs from both positive going and negative going sources, as well as an overriding direct clear input. This clear function allows the output pulse to be terminated immediately regardless of the timing cycle, providing precise control in complex digital timing circuits.
