74LS145 DIP BCD to Decimal Decoder/Driver
The 74LS145 is a high speed TTL integrated circuit designed to decode a four bit Binary Coded Decimal input into one of ten mutually exclusive outputs. This device features high performance open collector outputs that are specifically rated for a 15V breakdown voltage. This makes the IC ideal for directly driving indicators, relays, or other loads that operate at higher voltage levels than standard TTL logic.
When the input exceeds the decimal range of zero through nine, all outputs remain in the high impedance off state, providing an automatic blanking function for invalid BCD states. This decoder is widely used in numerical displays and control systems where efficient interfacing between logic levels and power loads is required. The low power Schottky technology ensures that the device maintains fast switching speeds while minimizing power consumption in complex digital circuits.
