74LS151 DIP 1-of-8 Line Data Selector/Multiplexer
The 74LS151 is a high speed TTL integrated circuit that functions as a 1-of-8 data selector and multiplexer. This device selects one of eight data sources based on the 3-bit binary code applied to the select inputs. It features both true and complementary outputs, providing designers with the flexibility to integrate the device into various logic configurations without the need for additional inverters.
The IC includes an active low strobe input that must be grounded to enable the data selection process. When the strobe is high, the true output is forced low and the complementary output is forced high, regardless of the data or select input states. This functionality makes the 74LS151 highly effective for data routing, parallel-to-serial conversion, and as a boolean function generator for complex digital logic operations.
