74LS152 DIP 1-of-8 Line Data Selector/Multiplexer
The 74LS152 is a high speed TTL integrated circuit designed to select one of eight data sources and route the information to a single output. This 1-of-8 data selector uses a 3-bit binary address to determine which input is active. Unlike the 74LS151, the 74LS152 is specifically optimized for applications where space is at a premium, as it is housed in a smaller 14-pin package by omitting the strobe input and providing only the inverted output.
This IC is highly efficient for data routing, parallel to serial conversion, and digital signal switching. By applying a binary code to the three select inputs, any one of the eight data lines can be monitored at the output terminal. The use of low power Schottky technology ensures fast propagation delays and low power consumption, making it a reliable choice for high density logic boards and timing-sensitive digital systems.
