74LS163 DIP Fully Synchronous 4-bit Binary Counter
The 74LS163 is a high speed TTL integrated circuit that functions as a fully synchronous 4-bit binary counter. This device is designed for high performance digital systems where every operation, including counting, loading, and clearing, is synchronized to the positive edge of the clock pulse. By ensuring all state changes occur simultaneously with the clock, the 74LS163 eliminates the timing glitches and decoding spikes associated with asynchronous logic.
This IC is fully presettable, allowing any 4-bit binary value to be loaded via the parallel data inputs when the load line is active low.
