CD4056 BCD to 7-Segment LCD Driver IC DIP-16 (CD4056 DIP IC)
The CD4056 is a CMOS BCD to 7-segment liquid crystal display driver IC designed to convert 4-bit binary coded decimal inputs into the appropriate AC drive signals for directly driving a 7-segment LCD display. It generates the correct AC waveform needed to activate LCD segments without causing DC degradation of the display.
This IC is widely used in digital clocks, frequency counters, digital meters, and portable instruments where direct BCD to 7-segment LCD driving is required with minimal power consumption. It is ideal for battery powered applications due to its extremely low power CMOS technology and built in LCD drive capability.
