TSL2550 Ambient Light Sensor SMBus Interface IC (TSL2550 Light Sensor)
The TSL2550 Ambient Light Sensor is a digital light sensing IC designed to measure ambient light intensity and output the data through an SMBus two wire interface. It integrates dual photodiodes and an internal analog to digital converter, allowing it to provide light measurements that closely match human eye response in lux.
The sensor uses two channels, one sensitive to visible plus infrared light and another primarily sensitive to infrared. By comparing both channels, it compensates for IR interference and produces accurate ambient light readings.
