Speed Sensor Module Tacho Sensor Slot-Type Optocoupler (3.3V-5V, Digital Pulse Encoder Sensor)
The Speed Sensor Module Tacho Sensor Slot-Type Optocoupler is a compact optical sensing module designed for non-contact rotational speed and position detection. It uses a slot-type optocoupler consisting of an infrared LED and phototransistor to detect interruptions caused by an encoder wheel, slotted disc, or object passing through the sensor gap. Each interruption generates a digital pulse that can be counted by a microcontroller to measure RPM, speed, position, or rotational direction. Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi, PIC, and other microcontroller platforms, this module is ideal for tachometers, motor feedback, robotics, automation, and encoder applications.
