The TCRT9000 Reflective Light Barrier Sensor 5mm is a compact infrared optical sensor designed for non contact object detection using reflected infrared light. It integrates an infrared emitting diode and a phototransistor positioned side by side in a single package.
When an object enters the sensing area, infrared light emitted by the LED is reflected back toward the phototransistor, causing a change in the output signal. This makes the sensor suitable for object detection, line tracking, position sensing, speed detection, robotics, and automation applications.
