APDS9960 RGB Gesture Sensor Module (I2C Gesture, Color, Proximity & Ambient Light Sensor)
The APDS9960 RGB Gesture Sensor Module is a multifunction optical sensing module that combines gesture recognition, RGB color sensing, proximity detection, and ambient light measurement into a single compact breakout board. Based on the APDS9960 sensor IC, it uses infrared emitters, photodiodes, and advanced optical processing to accurately detect hand gestures, object proximity, color, and surrounding light levels.
The module communicates through the I2C interface, making it easy to integrate with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller platforms. It is widely used in touchless interfaces, robotics, smart lighting, home automation, wearable devices, and embedded control systems.
