The HO4R Opto Reflective Optical Sensor is a compact infrared based sensor designed for non contact object detection, proximity sensing, and position detection. It integrates an infrared emitting diode and phototransistor in a single package. The sensor detects objects by measuring changes in the amount of infrared light reflected back from the target.
When an object enters the sensing area, the reflected infrared light changes the phototransistor output, allowing the HO4R to be used for reliable optical detection and switching applications.
