The ITR9606 4 Pin Opto Interrupter Sensor DIP4 is a compact slotted optical switch designed for non contact object detection, position sensing, speed detection, and counting applications. It combines an infrared emitting diode and an NPN silicon phototransistor positioned opposite each other inside a molded housing.
When an object passes through the sensing slot and interrupts the infrared beam, the phototransistor output changes state, allowing the sensor to be used for reliable optical switching and detection.
