ITR9608 4 Pin Opto Interrupter Sensor (IR Slot Sensor / Position and Object Detection)
The ITR9608 4 Pin Opto Interrupter Sensor is a high speed optical switching device designed for non contact object detection, position sensing, and rotation monitoring. It consists of an infrared emitting diode and an NPN phototransistor positioned opposite each other inside a slotted housing.
When an object passes through the sensing slot and interrupts the infrared beam, the phototransistor output changes state. This makes the ITR9608 suitable for encoder systems, motor position sensing, slot detection, paper sensing, rotation monitoring, and embedded control applications.
