The RCWL-0516 Microwave Radar Motion Sensor Module is a compact motion detection sensor based on Doppler microwave radar technology. It transmits microwave signals and detects movement by analyzing the frequency shift of reflected waves from moving objects. Unlike PIR sensors, the RCWL-0516 can detect motion through certain non-metallic materials such as plastic, glass, and thin wooden panels, making it suitable for concealed installations. The module provides a digital output signal that can be directly interfaced with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other microcontroller platforms.
