The TCRT1000 Reflective Photo Interrupter Sensor DIP4 is a compact infrared optical sensor designed for non contact object detection using reflected infrared light. It integrates an infrared emitting diode and a phototransistor in a single package, with both optical elements oriented in the same direction.
When an object enters the sensing area, infrared light emitted by the LED is reflected back toward the phototransistor, producing a change in the output signal. A daylight blocking filter helps improve detection reliability in the presence of ambient light.
